My Life as a Gamer #17

I am not happy, I stalled this for so long and got distracted too many times. I do now how tons and tons of footage to show.I'm just going to get into it and leave talking for later.

I ended up streaming an Enemy Territory Fortress gather but xsplit messed up and it only recorded and streamed the second half. You can even see me check xsplit for it being live because I didn't want it to happen again. This was an extremely close game and I wish more people played it again, it has been so dead. I blame summer!! Anyways here is 15 minutes of Engineer on defense.

One of my game friends preordered Modern Warfare 3 and got Call of Duty 4 with it (deal on steam) and he already had it so he gifted it to me. I decided hey I actually liked this one, why not stream a play through of it on veteran difficulty. I don't know if that was actually the best idea I ever had. I got so raged at times, but then again other times I steamrolled through places I thought I would never get past. I beat it in about 8 hours which is quite surprising. One thing that I should note, on the PC version of CoD4 is that you can LEAN. YES LEAN, that thing that most games don't use! This was a great surprise to me, haha, even though it felt the same as just running out normally. The vods for the full play through are right below here!

So I have been dying to play Doom 3 for a bit now. I decided to stream it after I beat Call of Duty. That reminds me I still haven't finished Dead Space. Oh well. I'm really enjoying this game again even though it isn't exactly like the older games. The atmosphere makes the game much better. I tried installing duct tape mod since that's generally the normal mod to install (it puts a flash light on your shotgun and machine gun) but it doesn't want to work with my high resolution texture mod. Oh well I'll deal with darkness. Anyway here is the footage so far, I'll be streaming more soon enough.

I played a little more of TF2 just fooling around. TF2 is fun if you just mess around and not get serious about it. This was a point that came up in a PUBLIC SERVER. Someone was acting like it was the match of the century, fighting for first place. I told him to shut up since if he was annoying me, he had to be annoying others. After I said that, blah blah noob back to me. I ended up just muting him since I didn't want to deal with it. Public servers are there to have fun, not completely coordinated. I mean yes you can have coordinated actions, but it is not required. Oh well here is some footage. 

Last up for stream vods are for the It's Gosu Alpha Divisional #15. There was some difficulties behind the scenes so I decided to just stream and eventually half ass casting. It was more like just hanging out and talking about the game. It was a fun night and some good games. Here are the two vods.

So my friend TrophyDoctor and I are doing a small series for the newMinecraft patch that just came out, 1.8. For those who don't know this is the new adventure patch that adds quite a few new options to the game. Anyways we'll be streaming periodically at His and my stream so be on the lookout. It will be full of laughs. 

I also want to get this game casted and Ayesee and I played in Starcraft 2. It was probably the most epic game I played. It was back and forth the whole time, it really couldn't have gotten better.  Once I get a vod for it I'll post it in a blog. It is a really good game to watch. 

I think that's about it, sorry for the delayed blog I've been too busy playing games ;). I'll get another out soon enough.

My Life as a Gamer #16

Oh boy oh boy. Lots and lots of vods. I'm going to keep this part short but last Monday was my birthday. Was nice and quiet, played some PS3. Now onto the real stuff.

First off it's TF2. I have been getting great success with viewers whenever I stream TF2. Generally I start around 10 am EST so there really isn't any other TF2 streams up and they all flock to me which is really nice. I got into some really nice conversations. Someone donated a few stuff for my contest (YOU SHOULD ALL PARTICIPATE. GO HERE) and it's really fun getting to know people who play this game that I don't really like. I play it to kill time and stream and hope they like it. A lot of the time they ask me to play other classes (since I mainly only play soldier). Someone actually taught me over chat how to play an effective spy. It worked very well. I actually did a great job. I'm still pondering what weapon I really want to use with spy though. We'll get onto that another time. I got three vods for you, all of which got tons of hits while I was streaming. I played a quick 10 minute session of Dead Space prior to TF2 one day. I forgot how much I hated unkillable enemies. Yeah. I hate them.

Once again I did some more Starcraft 2 ladder! This time I started off with a 2v2 with one of my viewers. He's completely new to the game which we almost won regardless. Was fun playing with them though. Next up I played two solo ladder games, going 1-1. I lost to a pretty bad terranattack. I know they are going banshee but I don't do anything about it until it's too late. It doesn't make sense. Other than that I play a very strong game versus a zerg. Whenever I face zergs on ladder they seem to go mass roaches. My build completely counters that unless they do some weird rush (not a 7 roach rush). Anyways you can watch the games here.

I played a bit more Quake 2 The Reckoning on stream. I forgot that you can't change the brightness in windowed mode so it was quite dark. I could barely even see. I had to stand up above my monitor to get the negative colors to see where I was going. I really miss all the old school style games. Other than the thirty minute vod I finished the game off stream. I meant to stream it but I just forgot to. I think I'm going to stream Doom 3 in its place soon (or after I finish one of my other horror games). Anyways check it out if you want to see some darkness.

Next up is two pickups of Fortress Forever. Both very fun games as well I'd suggest watching these if you can deal with the graphics. I keep playing more and more and I wish I got more viewers who would tune in to see what it's about. I recently got admin status for the pickup channel so I can start them on my own free will and deal with the nuicenses.

Last thing I have streamed which I am getting back into since I finished my previous one is mapping. I am working on two maps at the same time at the moment. I covered SpiderX in my previous blog. I worked on it another hour and a half and the geometry is really coming along. Here is the vodand a screenshot of the current flag room. I also streamed a run around on the current build of SpiderX which you can view here. Next up is an old map I was working on called Hollow. I have a forum post about it with many pics. Also here is the vod which I streamed today and a screenshotof what I worked on. I still need to figure out if I want rock walls or some sort of crazy wall system. I'm just about done with this map too, all I got to do is fix some lights and flip the map for the other team. I will get a walkthrough of it up sometime soon. It takes a while to compile a whole map.

My Life as a Gamer #15

All I can say is really SO MUCH FORTRESS. I have played so much of it the past few days it's ridiculous. Whether it be Fortress Forever or Team Fortress 2. Other than that though I streamed a little Minecraft and reinstalled Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Soulstorm. I really wish I hadDoW 2, it looks pretty nice. 

So first off I was helping my friend kill time during his stream since he was doing a 24 hour marathon. The first game he wanted to do was Minecraftand do some adventure maps (which went terribly wrong). I knew two of the maps but I refrained from doing stuff to quickly move the group through but one of person did. We go through The Redmurk Mystery, Escape Craft and Escape Craft 2. Come watch us fool around trying at first to do the trials correctly.

So next since there isn't as much footage but still longer videos is Team Fortress 2. I finally crafted The Original rocket launcher so I have a very nostalgic weapon with remastered sounds. Well here are two videos of me dominating pubs both at an hour and forty-five minutes each. In the second video I do try out different classes so you don't only have to watchsoldier. I play some demoman and engineer with a great sentry spot. I always play on these one set of servers but if you want to invite me somewhere else to play please do. I'm always looking to play with people. Also during my stream yesterday I was on the front page again!!!! I want more viewers, come make it possible! Finally I streamed quite a bit of Fortress Forever pickup games. I have to say as much as I love the game I really can't stand the community. The thing is though you can't avoid it since there is about 20 maximum pickup players. You just have to deal with it. Well this doesn't stop me from dominating either way. There's a lot of footage here and I can only recommend the last three vods out of all of them. There are plenty of goodoffensive runs and some really really nice airshots. In the first vod I also do a little skill jumping. It's been a while since I have done it.

I have been practicing Super Street Fighter 4 quite a bit recently. Working on my Akuma combos as best I can trying to get them down. I am so close to be perfecting c.lk c.lp c.mp tatsu into a srk but I am always a little late with my shoryuken so it misses. I have yet to practice against someone though so I don't know exactly how it fairs. Besides Akuma I want to learn someone that isn't shoto so I decided to start doing the challenges for Chun-Li. I didn't understand her charge technique at first but after some help from BestBipson I was able to start doing her kikoken and her ultimate.

Alright I am going to be posting the contest rules later tonight on my forums here and like I said before it'll require Team Fortress 2 (which is now free) and know how to use its replay feature to create a movie or fraps. I am still figuring out a prize but how many prizes really depends on how many people are going to participate. I will probably keep the contest open for a week or two so people can get entries in. We'll see later when I get everything sorted out.

My Life as a Gamer #14

Man I have probably written this about four times with me pressing a button every time refreshing the page or going back. A little info that has been going on with me; I have been house sitting for my friend as he drives down to Florida. Sadly I had to miss the past two nights from power outages (phone dead too :|). Anyways I do have some footage I would really like to share from last week from just a few different games. 


First off is some more Fortress Forever pickups. Here are two pickup games that I played, first on Schtop and the second on the map Destroy. I did fairly well in both games but in comparison the second game was better that started around the 35 minute mark. I have been playing  Fortress Forever more and more due to my other main fortress game (Enemy Territory Fortress) has been quite dead due to summer time. Anyways I'll continue to keep playing as it's tons of fun and one of my favorite games.


Next up was some Starcraft 2 laddering! I actually sat myself down and streamed some ladder. I ended up going 4 wins and 1 loss in my session losing to a pretty strong 4 gate which I should have saw coming better. Other than that I faced a guy two times in a row and got a little bmed at the end of the second game because I beat him both times with the same exact strategy. I'll just say... how sad (you'll get it if you watch the vod). Last part of the laddering that I absolutely loved was my last game played. I played against a protoss (gee what else do I face :|) who decided to do a very late 4 gate rush while I sat back and did my 3 gate robo defense which transitions into Collosus. I watched his army the whole time with an observer and saw right before he came to attack me that he hallucinated some units.. actually quite a bit of units. So I let quite a few units up my ramp since i saw the hallucinations and eventually forcefielded it once i saw about two or three real units there. Granted I came out ahead and got bmed for not being a man and hiding behind my forcefields. I ended up getting a few collosus and destroying his entire army and even more hallucinations which I came back to say "I heard hallucinations were good." Sometimes I really love this game because of all the idiots that play it. Well maybe that's a bit harsh. More like the people who think they are much better than what they are. Anyways here are the five games that I played.


The last game that I played was Natural Selection 2. I believe I wrote about it in a previous blog (cba to look) but it is a first person shooter which mixed RTS elements in it. Both teams are playing a FPS game and assign a commander to play RTS to place health packs, set commands, and place buildings. The main objective of the game is to destroy the opposing force's Command Station(s) or Hive(s). The two factions in the game are the Kharaa (aliens) and the Frontiersmen (marines). I played just about two hours of it last week (stream wise) and tons more off stream. I am really loving this game and waiting for it to be complete. Check out this awesome gameplay here and here.
So I have been gone for a bit and saw the Huk announcent via phone before it died. I have to say reading that whole thread on TL brought a tear to my eye. Every sentence that was said was so heart filled and it's sad to see him leave Liquid. I feel he might lose some training unless they get involved with some training house (Huk and Idra) due to Puma. Otherwise it'll be a much better situation for Huk. 


Okay it's time to rant you can skip the part if you want I just need to get this out. Fuck the haters, especially on TL. Yes I am personally not a fan of EG but I still respect them in a high manner. Who cares if Huk is switches teams. BOO FUCKING HOO you aren't a fan anymore since he isn't on Liquid. You aren't a true fucking fan if you only liked him since he was on Liquid. You should accept whatever he fucking does. Plus if you are saying that EG and Huk are only doing it for the money... well duh that is what this world revolves around. Even if EG is a team they are a business as well and guess what THEY DEAL WITH MONEY TOO. So here is a big FUCK YOU from me TL posters, and a great big GL to Huk. This will help him tremendously financial wise. That is one of the most troublesome things about being a pro gamer is the money. Okay I need to stop :).


So other than everything else my friend bought me Terraria for an early birthday present and I have been loving it, much more than Minecraft. It adventuring is so much more rewarding I'd recommend it to anyone. I am still hosue sitting for my friend till who knows when (I'm guessing till this weekend) so don't expect too much from me unless I feel like just writing something. My Life as a Gamer #13

Finally got footage to show you guys. After another small little vacation I got to do some streaming of Quake and Fortress Forever. I also updated my stream info which gives you all the info hyperlinked and images for other links which is very nice (haven't played with HTML in so long).  

Off stream I have been playing some Team Fortress 2 and Neverwinter Nights. Team Fortress 2 I just play on the same set of servers as it's my favorite community (Railbait). I have been rewarded (with nothing special just an online achievement ;D) with a medal for being the most successful with a certain weapon. In Neverwinter Nights I played a bit more through the story, trying to figure out where to go. I have to find a special key that someone is holding and I'm really confused where it could be. I really don't want to look up a guide but if I play again and can't figure it out I just might have to. I really don't like looking up guides to rpg games.

So first off I streamed League of Legends. I have been playing more and more recently and really growing more and more fond of it. I'm also extremely exciting for the new game mode they are coming out. It really looks amazing and it won't have the 40 minute games. Throughout these games you'll see me play mainly Nasus and Veigar. As of late (being the past few days) I have found out that Cassiopeia is my character to play now. A lot of people don't play with her since her ultimate is quite gimmicky. What it does is like Medusa's Gaze, it petrifies anyone who is facing her and deals damage. It is really hard to use but I have found a really nice way to use it. You have to play Cassiopeia as a bait and initiate champion, instead of the tank initiating. By the end of one of my games (was not streamed, I'll get some footage soon) I had purchased twoRabadon's Deathcaps. Funny enough my team was heavy AD (attack damage) so the enemy stacked armor so that let me do tons of damage. Anyways here is two hours of League of Legends action! 

Next on the list was Starcraft 2! Yes! More Starcraft 2 footage! First off I did practice games. I started off with a new custom map called Coach. It tells you thing you do wrong and how many errors you have performed. The only thing I didn't do with it was look at my results with it, which was in the help menu. Other than that I did a few practice games withAntarianism again and I found my complete weakness. Stupid freakin'archon zealot. I am completely hard countered. Is there any possible strategy to use other than archon zealot to deal with it? I'd really like some feedback if anyone knows. Otherwise I really need to get used to doing that then. Earlier today I played in the EU Gigabyte Cup which I was quite exciting about, until I saw my opponents rank. He was a masters protoss and guess what strategy he did... blink stalkers into archon zealot... I realized it a bit too late as I started to get my archons to combat his army he attacked leading to a quick bo1 knock out. It was fun regardless and I signed up for the EU Craft Cup and will sign up for the NA Craft Cup once it's a little bit closer in time. So look out for that on my stream. I'll be entering in quite a bit of tournies now and I hope to do a bit more practicing.

Next up I finally finished off Quake 2. Funny thing is somehow on the second to last level (just like Serious Sam (coincidence?)) the level glitches so we had to cheat to get past the part we needed to. All we had to do was grab an item and bring it to a location but it wouldn't give us our item. Anyways this was my first time actually beating Quake 2 despite how many times I have played it. I just never got all the way through it. You can view the rest of it here. Other than playing coop I have been playing through the Quake 2 expansion The Reckoning offline by myself off stream. The geometry of the levels are so nice and refreshing compared to new games. It's complex and unique compared to all the bland normal cities. I will probably be playing a lot of this next week and I'll tell you why later on.

So Quakecon rolled around this weekend and I was so excited for it. For those who don't know it has been the biggest convention for Quakeproviding amazing tournament games in one area at once. This yearQuake Live was the major game. My favorite player Stermy was not playing in the duel bracket so I had to go on my back up Strenx. Strenxmade it all the way to the finals (which isn't too normal for him, he is always coming in 3rd or 4th) to face a defeat from Rapha. Rapha is probably the strongest Quake Live duelist. He plays such a boring game though; he'll get ahead then just hide and run away. It makes for really uninteresting games. I'm really happy for Strenx though; he got a win off of Rapha and came in second place. I am extremely exciting for Quakeconnext year as I really want to travel to Texas to participate.

On the note of Quake Live and Quakecon it got me interested in the game again. Here are two quick games of a Clan Arena (most notably to be like Counter Strike). Each team has 100 health and 200 armor, every weapon and full ammo to start. Once you die you are out till the next round. It is whoever gets to 10 rounds first wins. View out that action here. Then my friend also got back into Quake Live so we ended up doing a few Duelgames and watched one after. All of this time I have been getting used to a new config that has weapon keys all around my movement keys. I am trying to get used to that while playing through both of these vods. I decided to load up my controller and play a bit more of Dead Space. Boy I got scared a few times during this vod. I really wish I had my microphone on but I forgot to turn off mute. A lot of the time I was pulling Shia Labouf "no no no no no" moments. Anyways enjoy some good action as I get closer to the end of the game. 

I also have over three hours of Fortress Forever pickup footage. I spectated a few games and I played even more. Want some nice fast paced action? WATCH THESE! Especially the last two vods as I play a very good game (it starts about 53 minutes into the second vod).

So other than all of that I want to go over one thing. Someone has been working on a mod for TF2 that brings classic Fortress game play as a mod. I tested a little bit today as they tried some new features and it seems to be coming out quite well. I wanted to promote them a little bit because this could blast off or be a complete bust. The big reason why it would be a bust is because people don't like skillful games today. They prefer games that hold their hand (aka Call of Duty, Halo, other modernized games) instead of a learning curve where you actually have to learn complicated techniques. This mod brings those techniques to a popular modern game. You can view their steam group here and I'm sure they'll keep you up with updates.

So come next week I have to house sit for my friend as him and his family drive down to Florida. So that means no streaming from me. During that time I do plan on playing some games but I will probably just focus on SC2 whether it be laddering or practicing. I will be there for the Divisionals, administrating or playing (it'll be on my laptop, low gfx :[). My Life as a Gamer #12

So I got a good amount of footage for this blog. I was going to write this last night but Antarianism kept me distracted with TF2 which was quite fun (stabbing him in the back over and over). But there is some really good stuff in this with me starting a new project and also thoughts on another small project that I don't know how soon I'll start.

First off let's show what's up with the first project. I do map making for Fortress Forever. This was my first major map release being pretty successful. At the moment I started a new map which is a port from Quake 3. Spider Crossing is what it's called and it's an amazing map to play. I am quite skeptical how it'll play in a pickup setting but I'm willing to give it a try. If all else fails and people hate it I'll just throw it in a portfolio that I'm starting to create. As I stream my mapping I enable my dual screen and put a small window of the map in another game for a reference. Just so you can see what/how I'm doing. If you are really interesting in this sort of thing check it out. 

My next quick play through has been Quake 2 which I have been playing with my friend. I really forgot how much fun this game was and I realized as we started playing that I have never actually finished playing through it. So why not stream it as I go! It brought back so many memories and we are probably doing this more often with older games so expect a bit of coop action. Sit back and reminisce the jump sound.

Next up was some Neverwinter Nights as I try and get further in this story. I ended up forgetting a quest item so I have to go search for it which took me quite a bit. I eventually find it and continue going through. This game would be quite fun with coop as well. Instead of having a mercenary you have a coop partner. Anyways I'm really enjoying this game as it's so unique and better than any rpg out now. Enjoy.

Now it's time for some horror games. I've been mostly playing F.E.A.R overDead Space recently but I love them both. I'm getting close to finishingF.E.A.R. as I'm only a few chapters off and it has been getting pretty tough. I'm running out of my heavy weapon ammo and that's one of the few things that really hurt the mech and heavy armor enemies. On top of that I have tons of shotgun ammo which I don't really need even though it is overpowered. Now Dead Space has been making me jump all the time recently. It never really did before and I progressed quite a bit during this game play. I tend to stick to the Plasma Cutter, Line Gun, and Pulse Rifle. I am thinking of switching out the Line Gun for the Force Gun as it's much better for close quarters. It's a nice game if you want your adrenaline running.

Last up on the list is Starcraft 2! Finally I get some SC2 footage. Thank you so very much everyone for migrating to my channel for the two days. It was a lot of fun just doing a more relaxed (and sleep) casting style. Check out the great IG Beta and Alpha divisional vods from this week! Other than that last night Antarianism wanted some PvT help so we were going to doYabot with Orion to help him learn some stuff. Instead we loaded up ICJug and did a koth kind of with the few people we had. Was a lot of fun to have a few people all around the same level of skill face off.

That's about it for content besides this small little TF2 video from last night. Just a few knife kills with a lot of whiffs, the last kill being on the scout (Antarianism). We gotta play more man that was fun! Anyways a little info on the other project that I want to do is based on games that I am completely terrible at and end up raging. I would be posting these on myyoutube but I am not sure when I will start. The first game would be Frozen Synapse, a top down Rainbow 6 type game. I can't for the life of me get past the first campaign mission and I keep raging. Well that's about it for this blog, thank you everyone who comes on my channel and hangs out as I play games. I'll most likely play something tonight at some point (hopefully SC2)!

My Life as a Gamer #11

Busy busy busy busy. I have streamed so much the past two days it's crazy. Yesterday alone I did 8 hours. I've been having a blast streaming whatever game and chatting with those who come and watch. I can see how a lot of people enjoy doing it every day. I have been really slacking with SC2 though and I really need to start playing and streaming more. Come Season 3 I really want to push towards diamond and I won't do that just playing other games ;).

I recently picked up Neverwinter Nights again and really forgot how much of an amazing game it is. I'll be streaming every module for a while going through one at a time. First play through will be the first game as a Battle Cleric. It's probably my favorite play style, damage with healing. Once I get a bit further in the game I'll create a poll on which class to play next. Here is around three and a half hours of footage so far:

As I said I was going to stream Serious Sam HD The Second Encounter and here it is. This game is far better than the first, with better puzzles and areas. Sadly a lot of the puzzles and fun parts are messed up by the engine (it was much harder and more fun in the old games). I fail a lot of the platforming parts as the physics in the game aren't the greatest either but it's really a great game nonetheless. Oh boy six hour of game play! I still have one more set of levels to go through too! I can't wait for the new Serious Sam to come out. Here you go:

I also played through some more of F.E.A.R. and I concluded I hate automated turrets with a passion. Give me a rocket launcher and the game will be easy (funny enough I leave a rocket launcher on the ground). Played more TF2 as well, I seem to be playing it more and more since it's easy to pick up and the community that I play with is really enjoyable. You don't get that in many games. I start playing Spy a bit even though I'm completely terrible. Only way to get better is to play (man I should apply this to some other game :|). I also started using Demoman quite frequently. I absolutely love the Loch n Load which you'll see a shot of in a few videos later on in the blog. Lastly I played Battlefield as I really haven't in a bit. There are some nice plays as a double or triple knife as I can't completely remember.

So here are some miscellaneous videos that I have made from TF2 game play. I posted one of them on my IG status but I will still post it here for those who didn't see. These are all under 5 minutes so they are all watchable at any time. Here are two quick rocket airshots as Soldier oneand two. Here is some general Soldier play holding down one route on defense. Now this was an amazing game, as Demoman I get a twenty-two kill streak. That has been my best in a long time. You can watch those 4 minutes here. Last is the Loch n Load shot I said earlier, I did a little more testing with the TF2 replay editor. I figured out how to do multiple camera angles but I really wish you could do slow mo during (without additional editing). Here is the shot.

I promise I'll get some SC2 footage out for the next blog. I have been having technical difficulties with xsplit and SC2 though. The menu becomes extremely laggy which has never happened before. I wonder if some settings got changed in SC2 or something. Oh well as long as the game play looks fine am I right? Plus the pretty colors with the color mod! My Life as a Gamer #10

I'm trying to write this one quickly as I'm leaving for a few days to see some family. This weekend I spent a lot of time revisiting Serious Sam as it's such a great game. I also did a little multiplayer action in Pirates Vikings and Knights 2 and streamed some high level show matches in SC2.

Serious Sam is an old game which is a like Doom and Quake where there are tons of enemies on screen at once, no reloading (besides the pistols) and can carry every weapon. This is the HD remake and I bring you through The First Encounter. Unfortunately I break one of the later levels and have to skip to the next one, but I am pretty sure I was done with it anyways. I completed it eventually and plan on doing The Second Encounter when I get back which is far more exciting because it isn't only in Egypt. It goes all over the place. Next I played some Pirates Vikings and Knights 2 online. It is a 3 team game which is ticket based (life counter). There are multiple game modes which include arena, last team standing, and capture and hold the treasure chests. The game has tons of humor, especially in the form of taunts and quotes from certain songs. I personally like playing on the Knights because of the Archer. Using his bow and crossbow make the game tons of fun. Hopefully you guys like this, watch some of it here.

Last was Starcraft 2 with high skill show matches king of the hill style. I have to thank my friend snog for always helping me and inviting me to these games. Unfortunately we kept me spectator chat and people like to play ChatCraft while in spectator. It was good fun to watch though with some very good games. Enjoy them.

My Life as a Gamer #9

First off I want to say what an amazing Omega Divisional it was last night. Hwangsin hwaiting. What an amazing player. I really really enjoy his play.

I have so much footage! I should have written this yesterday. Then again I am probably streaming quite a bit this weekend so then a fresh list would be good. Well lets start the list off!

First off I played some TF2 and had quite a bit of fun even though I didn't know anyone. I played some Soldier, Engineer, and Heavy Weapons. Overall the session was really good and have three nice game play shots that I had uploaded to Youtube.

I then played some Enemy Territory Fortress pickups. I played a lot ofSoldier (as it's probably my best class (in any Fortress game). Both of these were 2v2, and always tons of fun on the map Entropy (I hate that dumb bridge)). You can view them here and here.

I have started to actually play SC2 again! I first started with two practice games vs one of my terran partners BlackDeath. First game I played really really sloppy teching towards colossus. He does a lot of drops, and I know he has been getting pushed to do more. I have to say that is one of the scariest things as protoss is getting dropped. Having to split your army and or bringing it back for defensive position. Game two went much better, instead of going collosus I only got my robo for obs, spreading them out for scouting and drop spotting. I then went for ht later on which helped very much. I did use very sloppy blink control though. I then go onto play one ladder game which I lost to a very very dumb rine rauder rush.  You can view those here. Then I played vs my newest T practice partner Resopmok. I went for 3 gate robo collosi once again even though I am trying to transition into ht play. I believe it's that I went to 3 gate robo for the obs and immo (depending on the match up) but the hts are really really nice. This game came out as a win as I don't think he realized how much I had. Here is the game. After that practice game I played some Uberena, a fun UMS game with some NRG guys and resopmok. It's a very micro intensive game where you have to destroy the other team's building. You can view the game play here. Last game play of SC2 was some 2v2s with someone that plays Fortress Forever with me. We did a lot of 4v4s together but I was always busy when he wanted to do 2v2s before. Game one I played very sloppy as I had to get warmed up but every single other game I was the top player. We went 5-0 in our qualifiers and placed Diamond. I was very excited as I played some very stong blink play. Enjoy the really good games right here. (I recommend watching this if you don't normally watch my videos, these were really really good games). 

Today I played a little Dead Space to kill a little time. I forgot how the game can make you jump. Those perfect spots where the Necromorphspop out of, especially on elevators when you normally think you are safe. I play this on a controller as the pc controls on the keyboard and mouse are really bad. One thing is you can't change any bindings and that the mouse has non changeable mouse acceleration. It's a really great game and I suggest it for anyone who wants to play an action horror (jump tactic horror). Watch about forty minutes of it here playing through chapter 7 to 8.

Last of the games that I streamed was Minecraft. Oh Minecraft how I love you. These two vods bring you around my castle courtyard and house. We work on the hardest part of the castle which is the draw bridge made with pistons by far. The vods show all the work done for the moat and draw bridge and I end it off doing a little detail work. Sit back, relax and watch some great stuff in these vods. I recommend watching these for some interesting footage seeing two redstone noobs try and make a drawbridge.

My Life as a Gamer #8

Man I just got back from a vacation and I have been DYING to stream. I am really glad to be able to provide more content for whoever wants to watch. So I was planning on streaming FEAR last night but that never happened. I got pulled into fortress, and really that's the most I've been playing the past two days.


First off I wanted to play the new patch for Fortress Forever a little bit more. Also a little treat, the second pickup that I play is played on a map that I personally created. You can view some behind the scene pics of my map here. The first map played was Mortality, which is a very defensive map. First round I played defense as a Demolition Man. I played quite well, as it used to be my worst played class. We kept the score quite low for a great chance to win on the offensive round. On offense I played Scout and did (as I feel) an amazing job with running the flag. The second pickup was played on Fiddle_R(evised) which is my map. I played Defense first again, this time Soldier near the battlements. I didn't do the best, but I did what I mostly needed to which was to call out incomings which is almost as important as killing someone. If I recall they enemy team got about eight captures. We then got on offense and I play Scout again. We got out a few good captures then every slowed down to almost a full halt. We end up squeezing six captures out for a close game. Next up I actually played some Minecraft, but it wasn't my normal single player pack since they dont have a major mod in it (Millenaire). So I played on my friend's multiplayer server. I run by almost everything created on the server trying to find something to do. I believe i end it working around my castle, getting ready to work on my moat and draw bridge using pistons. I'll be sure to stream once I start doing the piston work as I have got the moat completely done. Here is the Vod.


Last game I streamed was playing Enemy Territory Fortress, a small 2v2 pickup on the map Entropy. Once again I played defense first asSoldier. We did alright on defense nothing too special. I had a few good plays. Then there was a quick round of offense as Soldier as well. I really love playing offense on this map, because you can just go so fast. These rounds are a bit shorter than the Fortress Forever ones, being only 10 minutes long each. You can view it here.


Well I don't know how much I'll stream at night, but I'll do it periodically throughout the day. Mainly because of how IG events got pushed back a few hours it ends right about when I want to go to bed. I may stay up a little bit and stream FEAR or possibly a little Minecraft.
